What is InflammoThrombotic Immunologic Response (ITIR) Disease (ITIRD)?
Throughout my career in Academics and Medicine I have taught countless students, advised thousands of patients and counseled their family members.

Sometimes the introduction of new terms are met with resistance; but, more often than not, it is later met with a sense or feeling of gratitude and satisfaction.

For too long people have been talked down to and this has lead to real misunderstandings about science, about medicine and about what you can do to take back your health.

During the 2024 Presidential Campaign and since, there has been much discussion about chronic disease.
But what is chronic disease?
What causes these diseases?

and
What can we, you, do about it?
Why do we experience heart disease, cancer, high blood pressure, diabetes mellitus, miscarriages, cerebral vascular disease (strokes), inflammatory bowel disease, rheumatologic diseases, consequences to infectious diseases and autoimmune diseases - just to mention a few?

The answer as explained throughout this website and [https://www.flemingmethod.com/] was laid out in 1994 during my presentation to the American Heart Association.

At that time I began the discussion of what was originally dubbed The Fleming Unified Theory of Vascular Disease. With time scientific and medical research has shown the validity of the Theory and its implications on both the (1) causes and (2) treatments of these chronic diseases.

Today it is called the InflammoThrombotic Immunologic Response (ITIR) Disease (ITIRD) Theory. Why has this been given such a long name? Not to confuse you; but rather, to clarify what is happening inside the human body - changes that can be measured using FMTVDM.
What are those changes?

Inflammo = Inflammation,
Thrombotic = Blood clotting or failure to clot resulting in bleeding,
Immunologic = The Immune System,
Response = Response by our Body,
Disease = When health problems occur because our
InflammoThrombotic Immunologic Response (ITIR)
was overwhelmed, producing Disease (ITIRD)
instead of health.

ITIR describes the responses occurring within our body, in an effort to remove the offending injury agents. When successful, we return to our state of health. When overwhelmed, disease follows. Disease which is an ITIRD and if this ITIRD continues to occur for longer periods of time, we see the development of a chronic disease.
But, chronic disease represents a garbage can term, filled with many diseases, all resulting from an ITIR to an offending problem, agent, toxin, antigen. Merely having a term does not solve the problem and as we have too often seen, simply throwing medications or anything else at a problem to see what sticks isn't practicing medicine or healthcare.
This approach isn't doing no harm. Quite the opposite, the approach of throwing anything and everything at a problem without knowing what you are doing is practicing Caldron Medicine.

It is important to say, that when we experience new problems with little information, we are always stuck experimenting with what works and what doesn't; but, we must do this with the understanding that we are using our best guesses, followed by objectively measuring whether our guesses are helping or hurting.

The following three videos, taken from three different interviews I gave, will help you understand ITIR, ITIRD & FMTVDM.

The first video was done 5 June 2024 with Laurie Gagan where we discuss the ITIRD Theory - shortened for that interview to ITR (InflammoThrombotic Response). Laurie wasn't happy with the term at the time; but, she - like everyone else - have no problem using terms that are explained to her.

When I used to train Instructor-Trainers and Instructors for the American Heart Association, my students proved to be the most challenging to train. Not because they were poorer students; but, because they had been trained with understanding. They were challenging to train by other faculty who simply wanted them to memorize and regurgitate. My students didn't accept that. They were trained to think - not just memorize. Once they understood "why" protocols had changed, they had no problem implementing the change. But they demanded knowledge. They needed to know why.

Today after years of simply being told to do something, I see a hunger for knowledge. I see people wanting to learn - a willingness to learn new terms and develop a new understanding - as long as it is explained to them. These three videos and these two websites [https://www.fmtvdm.com/;https://www.flemingmethod.com/] do just that. They teach and explain.

The last two videos were taken from interviews conducted a year later on 19 May 2025, following my investigations and peer-reviewed published research of the Pfizer and Moderna Genetic Vaccines.
These later two videos with Mr. Pete Santilli and Mr. Nino Rodriguez tie together questions from the published genetic vaccine research and the ITIRD Theory.

My special thanks to (1) Mr and Mrs. Gagan and Layton, (2) Mr Santilli and (3) Mr. Rodriguez - in addition to their production teams, for their time, effort and questions - providing you with the opportunity and time to listen to those questions and answers, while making it possible for you to stop, pause and replay as many times as you need to, to better understand Why these chronic diseases have overtaken us and what we can do about them?
