In 1994 I introduced the theory of InflammoThrombotic Immunologic Response (ITIR) and associated Diseases (ITRID) at the American Heart Association Conference in Dallas, TX.

Following that presentation I began a series of investigations into various factors that promoted the ITRID - heart disease - resulting from decreased flow reserve within coronary arteries due to the build up of ITIR material.

Following publication of one of those studies, I was asked by Katie Couric to join her on The Today Show.
